Legatum Group is an independent software studio. We build durable tools for the industries that quietly run the economy — the markets where the actual work gets done.

How we operate.

Independent. Founder-led. Built by operators who’ve worked in the industries we build for. Our products don’t start as venture pitches — they start as tools we needed on our own desks, and either couldn’t find or couldn’t justify paying for.

That changes how the software gets built. We optimise for accuracy over volume, durability over novelty, and price-fit over upsell. The result is software that working operators can actually afford and that improves the work, rather than adding to it.

Founders cohort pricing is locked for the lifetime of the subscription. We don’t inflate later or hide costs behind tiers.

Stephen Brauner
Founder · Legatum Group

Recruitment operator turned builder. 15+ years in technology recruitment via Syntech Recruitment, a UK technology recruitment business. Started building software when the tools needed on his own desk either didn’t exist, or were built by people who’d never used one.

Legatum Group emerged in 2026 as the holding entity for that work. VaultHire is the first product, AccountRadar the second. There are three more in the workshop.

Why now.

Several markets we work in — recruitment intelligence, sales prospecting, talent search — are dominated by tools built for enterprise budgets and enterprise procurement teams. Working agencies and operators are priced out, or buy under duress.

We don’t think that’s how it has to be. The infrastructure to build genuinely good software has never been cheaper. Edge compute, modern AI APIs, instant payments, contact-data networks — the inputs that used to require a Series A are available to a one-person studio with a credit card.

What’s missing is taste, discipline, and a willingness to build for the markets venture has ignored. Legatum is what that looks like.
